Plastic container manufacturer Silgan Plastics has installed the first Avery Dennison Curve Appeal labeling system in North America at its Ligonier, IN manufacturing plant. The system combines Fasson Curvy pressure-sensitive label material with a new patent-pending Avery Dennison application process that will now enable Silgan to apply pressure-sensitive labels to complex curved package shapes, creating a more eye-catching billboard on each bottle. The Avery Dennison Curve Appeal technology allows package designers to expand the label footprint around the curves of a bottle, creating up to 100% more labeling area while still delivering the smooth look and feel of pressure sensitive labeling. It also creates larger back panels that can carry necessary product or multi-language information in easily readable type.
